The Honda Civic hatchback is a car that is synonymous with quality and performance, and if you take a trip to a Honda dealership, you will see that the 2023 model more than meets these expectations.

Trim Levels

The Civic hatchback has four trim levels available from which to start building your car. The base model is the LX with the Sport and EX-L above it, while the top-of-the-range Sport Touring completes the 2023 lineup.

Exterior Design

The Civic hatchback has a sleek and cultured look with beautiful lines and a sloping shape to the rear that gives it a stunning appearance. Color-coordinated handles, a fin-style antenna, and 16-18-inch alloy wheels, depending on trim, perfectly finish off the design.

Interior Layout

The design of the interior space is just as striking as the exterior. A honeycombed patterned strip, inset with neatly appointed switches, runs along the dash and immediately catches the eye. The seats are luxurious with leather trim and a powered moonroof on the EX-L and Sport Touring models.

Passenger Space

The interior has up to 99 cu ft of passenger space available and seats up to five. Comfort is ensured with the provision of 42.3 inches of front seat legroom, with rear passengers enjoying 37.4 inches. This still leaves plenty of space for cargo, with 24.5 cu ft available to the rear seats, which can fold down or in a 60/40 split to provide even more room.

Mechanical Specs

Two engines feature across the 2023 lineup. A 2.0L, 4-cylinder unit producing 158 hp is fitted to the XL and Sport, while a 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, providing 180 hp, is used in the EX-L and Sport Touring. An automatic continuously variable transmission connects these to the drivetrain, with select models also having the option of a 6-speed manual transmission with paddle shifters.

Fuel Economy

Both powertrain setups produce outstanding fuel economy. The 2.0L automatic can provide a combined 35 mpg for city/highway driving, while the 1.5 turbo returns up to 33 mpg. The manual transmission variants are also exceptional, delivering a combined 29 mpg for the 2.0L and 31 mpg for the 1.5L turbo.

Technology Features

The latest technology has a significant presence across the trims, with infotainment, driver management, and safety to the fore. These include a 7 or 9-inch touchscreen with Apple and Android connectivity, dual-zone climate control, and remote start available or standard, depending on the model.

A lot more can be said about the 2023 Civic hatchback, but the best way to appreciate why it is considered the standout car in its class is to see it for yourself. Call us at Rick Roush Honda today to schedule a test drive.
