2023 Honda Accord
The Honda Accord is a top-selling, family-friendly sedan. It received a complete makeover for 2023 with updates to the exterior style, changes to the look in the cabin, new technology features, and added safety systems. It also gains a new hybrid powertrain for the new model year, but the optional 2.0-litter turbo gas engine is no longer available. Here's a closer look at the 2023 Honda Accord.
Trim Levels
The entry-level LX comes with 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, power-adjustable side exterior mirrors, and variable intermittent wipers. Step up to the EX for a sunroof and Pewter Gray alloy wheels, or to the Sport for 19-inch gloss black alloy wheels, black exterior trim elements, and a black rear spoiler. The EX-L comes with 17-inch wheels, and the Sport-L has 19-inch wheels and a black rear diffuser. At the top of the Accord lineup, the Touring has 19-inch wheels and silver and black exterior trim elements.
Engine
Power for the EX and LX comes from a 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder gas engine that puts out 192 horsepower. It works with a continuously variable automatic transmission and comes with front-wheel drive. The rest of the lineup uses the new hybrid setup. It's a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine and two electric motors that combine to generate an impressive 204 horsepower.
Performance
The hybrid powertrain is a standout with its power and ride quality. It smoothly gets up to highway speed and stays comfortable over most roads. The latest Accord has a retuned suspension that improves handling, and the steering is more responsive as part of the 2023 updates. All Accords now come with front-wheel drive, and both powertrains offer quick acceleration. Choose the Sport or above for the four-mode drive systems. They come with the Sport, Individual, Normal, and ECON settings. Sport mode provides a more immediate response from the accelerator, and it firms up the steering.
Interior
There's room for five in the Accord. The base trim has cloth upholstery and manually-adjustable front seats. The EX adds heated front seats and a power-adjustable driver's seat, and the EX-L upgrades the upholstery to leather and adds a power-adjustable passenger seat. If you bump up to the Touring trim, you'll get heated rear seats and ventilated front seats.
Technology in the Accord starts with a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, two USB-C ports, and a four-speaker stereo. The Sport has a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while bumping up again to the higher trims can get you a 12-speaker Bose stereo and wireless charging.

Safety Features
The 2023 Honda Accord has a full suite of active safety systems. The Honda Sensing bundle comes standard with front collision warning, automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning with mitigation, and lane-keep assist. It also comes with automatic high-beam headlights, pedestrian detection, a rearview monitor, a traffic sign reader, and traffic-jam assist. The EX-L adds front and rear parking sensors, while the Touring adds a head-up display and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
