Sometimes, nothing sounds better than a taco or some fajitas, and when your palette wants Mexican cuisine, there are many Mexican restaurants in town to choose from. It can be difficult to select one, so we’ve created a list of some of the best Mexican restaurants in the Medina, OH, area to get you started.

1. Los Cantaritos Mexican Grille

For the freshest ingredients and delicious cooking, this establishment makes a great stop. The chips and homemade chili con queso are a must to start with. Sip on a housemade margarita or an imported cerveza while you decide on your main meal. We like the burrito verde, the steak fajitas, the quesadillas tri color, the nachos fiesta, or the pollo ranchero.

They also have a vegetarian menu with items like spinach enchiladas, veggie fajitas, chili rellenos, bean burritos, and cheese quesadillas. Finish off with the fried ice cream or the churros. Stop by Los Cantaritos Mexican Grille any day of the week. Please drink responsibly and in moderation, and do not drink and drive.

2. Fiesta Jalapenos

The authentic food here will leave you wanting to come back for more. They serve all your traditional favorites as well as seafood dishes. Begin your meal with the sampler fiesta jalapeno or the queso fundido. Popular meal choices include the fajita rice bowl, the poblano dinner, the Especial Monterrey, the tamales tipicos, the tacos al pastor, and the camarones del Pacifico.

Those who prefer their food on the spicy side will like the camarones or tacos a la diabla or the spicy fish tacos. They also have a wide selection of fine tequilas. If you prefer to take your food home, their carry-out packages start at just $8.75 per person. Visit Fiesta Jalapenos at 4136 Pearl Rd. seven days a week. Please drink responsibly and in moderation, and do not drink and drive.

3. Monarca Cantina

This restaurant makes every meal to order and uses fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Try one of the chef’s recommendations, such as the mole poblano, the seafood monarca, or the torta ahogada. The street tacos are also a good choice. We suggest the barbecue pork, the tinga, or the veggie tacos. If you feel like something on the lighter side, have the taco salad, the spicy tortilla soup, the fajita monarca, or the avocado toast.

Finish your meal off with an order of the arroz con leche, the pan de elote, or the chocoflan for dessert. Monarca Cantina is open seven days a week and is located at 108 Public Square.
