Powertrain
Pop open the HR-V’s hood, and you’ll be greeted by a naturally aspirated 2.0L inline-6 engine that generates 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. At an EPA rating of up to 32 MPG highway, the powerplant boasts excellent efficiency with the help of multi-point fuel injection and Honda’s Eco Assist. A continuously variable transmission sends power to the drive wheels and features Sport Mode, which sharpens throttle response.
The powertrain also provides drivers with the useful Hill Descent Control and Hill Start Assist. Available Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control can detect a loss in front traction and responds by diverting power to the rear wheels, enabling you to stay fully in control while traveling over tricky surfaces.

With its well-tuned MacPherson front suspension, multi-link rear suspension, and stabilizing bars, the HR-V displays remarkable athleticism. With the second row’s 60/40 split-folding seats in their normal position, there’s up to 24.4 cubic feet of cargo space. This can be expanded to 55.1 cubic feet when the seats are folded down.
Infotainment and Connectivity
While LX and Sport models are equipped with a 7-inch color touchscreen, the EX-L comes with a 9-inch display. All of them come standard with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay integration, Bluetooth hands-free/streaming audio, and speed-sensitive volume compensation. The available HondaLink app is downloadable on your smartphone and allows you to access digital vehicle guides, connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot, and check vehicle status.
