Ohio fall activities

Maybe it’s the milder weather, the prospect of a good harvest, or the beautiful colors on display, but there’s something about the fall in Medina, OH that makes us long for the outdoors. Check out our list of fun fall activities for ideas to make the most of the scenery and get the family out into the fresh air.

1. Medina County Fall Foliage Tour

Every year since 1968, residents of Medina County have followed the Fall Foliage Tour to a mix of indoor and outdoor activities. With nature spots, historical attractions, farms, and special events, it’s an exciting chance to learn more about the county.

This self-guided driving tour is fun for the whole family, and absolutely free. It’s also a great opportunity to enjoy the roomy interior of your Honda CR-V. The spacious seating and superior suspension will let you explore the area and gaze on the gorgeous autumnal vistas in perfect comfort.

2. Mapleside Farms Fall Festival

Throughout the season, Mapleside Farms will be hosting the Great Pumpkin Weekend. Features include an enormous corn maze, live productions, orchard tours in the cow and pig trains, the chance to ride the 311-foot super slide, and giant jump pillows. The Haytona 500 pedal car race track provides plenty of thrills and spills, and you can buy caramel apples and apple pies for a cozy evening at home afterward.

With so much to see and do, this is one day out that guarantees a very tired and happy family by nightfall.

3. Richardson Farms

Richardson Farms is always a great place to pick up local produce, but the best way to truly appreciate nature’s bounty is to gather it for yourself. The apple and peach orchard is open for fruit-gathering in the fall, and there’s a large pumpkin patch as well. With opportunities for hayrides and farm tours when you visit, this is a fall activity that will remind you of your roots.

4. Forest of Screams

As Halloween approaches, you might be looking for something a little spookier to stir your blood. Forest of Screams takes you on a hayride deep into the heart of 58 acres of dark woods. There you will walk the quarter-mile Night Stalker’s Trail, and visit the Mortuary Haunted House. Dedicated actors and intricate set designs provide plenty of jump-scares, and there are food stands where you can calm your shattered nerves with snacks and treats.

With so much to see and do, fall is one of the best times to get out and about in Medina County. But to make the most of it, you need the right car. Stop by and see us at Rick Roush Honda, and let our friendly sales team help you find the perfect vehicle, and navigate an enjoyable car-buying experience.
