Whether you are considering buying a new or used vehicle, it's crucial to have a car warranty. It ensures you're covered for potential problems and can get your money's worth. The following features are covered by a standard warranty, which you can obtain at your local Honda dealership.

New Vehicle Limited Coverage

If you buy a new Honda, your standard warranty includes new vehicle limited coverage. This is valid for the first three years of ownership or up to 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. It applies to various components of your car, including the battery, electrical parts, alignment, key fob and remote battery, windshield wiper blades, and air conditioner refrigerant.

Limited Powertrain Coverage

Your standard warranty includes limited powertrain coverage to ensure your vehicle functions properly. It pays for any replacements you need to keep the engine running and covers the costs of necessary repairs. Your limited powertrain warranty is good for up to five years or your first 60,000 miles traveled, whichever comes first.

Accessory Coverage

You are also covered for all Honda genuine accessories for up to 36,000 miles. If something your car was already equipped with or something you've added on malfunctions, your warranty will pay. You are covered for up to one year or through the remaining time on your new vehicle limited coverage, whichever is longer.

Rust Perforation Coverage

The Honda standard warranty includes coverage for rust perforation in the event your vehicle suffers from corrosion. This is good for up to five years regardless of your miles traveled. However, it doesn't cover the rusting of any parts you get repaired or replaced. Rust perforation coverage applies to both the exterior and interior of your vehicle.

Roadside Assistance Coverage

For the first three years or 36,000 miles traveled, whichever occurs first, your warranty offers 24/7 roadside assistance. You're covered for emergencies such as flat tires, fuel issues, towing for mechanical problems or accidents, jump starts, winching, and lockouts.

Seat Belt Coverage

Your Honda standard warranty will also protect you if any of your vehicle's seat belts malfunction. It will pay for repairs or replacements to keep you and your passengers safely secured while on the road.

After purchasing your Honda, you'll want to know all you can about its standard warranty. You can inquire about it as you begin car shopping. Contact us at Rick Roush Honda in Medina, OH to learn more.
