2022 Honda Passport

The entry-level Passport is the EX-L. It comes with 20-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, heated side exterior mirrors, a power liftgate, and a sunroof. It also has proximity keyless entry. The Trailsport is more off-road ready than the other trims, with 18-inch wheels and aggressive all-terrain treads. It also comes with power-folding side mirrors and roof rails. Step up to the Elite for unique 20-inch wheels and a hands-free liftgate.

All three Passport models use the same engine. The 3.5-liter V-6 generates 280 horsepower and gets 262 pound-feet of torque. It uses Toyota's nine-speed automatic transmission and comes with front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is optional for the EX-L and comes standard with the Trailsport and Elite.

Front-wheel drive Passports have 7.5 inches of ground clearance, and all-wheel drive versions have 8.1 inches, making it capable of traversing rough terrain. When equipped with the tow package, it can pull up to 5,000 pounds. The engine provides quick and powerful acceleration and will get up to 60 mph in just about six seconds. Passengers will enjoy the smooth ride, and the driver will appreciate the responsive steering and strong brakes.

Inside, there is room for up to five in the Passport. The cabin is spacious and comfortable and comes standard with leather upholstery, heated front seats, power-adjustable front seats, and driver's seat memory settings. The TrailSport adds ambient interior lighting and rear side window sunshades, while the Elite has ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and rear-seat climate controls.

There's plenty of tech in the Passport to keep everyone connected and entertained. It comes with an 8-inch touch screen, wireless smartphone charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a seven-speaker stereo system. A 115-volt power outlet is an added feature in the TrailSport, and this model adds integrated navigation. Take another step up to the Elite for a 10-speaker premium stereo system and HondaLink connected services. The higher-end Passport trims come with a Wi-Fi hotspot, and you can also get USB ports in the back row in addition to the ones in the front row.

Every Honda Passport trim level comes standard with a long list of safety equipment. The active driver aids include a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with automatic braking, and lane-keep assist. It also comes with adaptive cruise control and front and rear parking sensors. A rear seat occupant alert feature reminds the driver to check the back seat to make sure they haven't left a child behind before walking away from the Passport.
