What is the Difference Between Spare Tires?

When you’re stranded on the side of the road with a flat tire, you want to get moving as quickly and safely as possible. The donut, or compact tire, provides that type of convenience for you. A full-size pare tire, on the other hand, offers a longer-term solution.

A donut spare is a smaller version of your car’s regular tires. It is intended to be a temporary fix, so you can get to a service station as soon as possible. The compact size has driving limitations, such as recommended slower speed. It does not have the tread and durability of a regular-size tire. A full-size spare is just like the regular tires on your car. As a regular tire, you will experience better handling than with a donut. The concern here is that the flat is repaired, so that you always have a spare ready.
